Please Read the Agreement Before Going Forward
Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, Inc. is delighted that you are interested in
submitting an essay to be considered for inclusion in an anthology on Success
Redefined. You will retain ownership of your essay. However, you are granting
Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, Inc. the license to duplicate, display, transmit,
etc. your essay in all media. We are requesting these rights so that your
thoughtful composition can inspire as many people as possible for generations to come.
Any profits from this work will be used to support Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs,
Inc., a 501c3 recognized as a Shared Interest Group by the Harvard Alumni
Association. Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, Inc. was established to support the
advancement of entrepreneurship across the greater Harvard community through
media, outreach, and educational activities.
By clicking the I ACCEPT button below you affirm that this essay is original to
you, that you own all necessary rights to this work, that the essay does not
defame or otherwise violate the rights, copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or
reputation of any third party, and that you are a graduate of Harvard University.
You grant Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, Inc. (a 501(c)(3) Shared Interest Group
affiliated with the Harvard Alumni Association), a non-exclusive, assignable,
royalty-free, perpetual world-wide permanent license to duplicate, display,
distribute, excerpt, or transmit the essay in any format or media known or
hereafter known. Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, Inc. shall have the right to own
or register copyrights to any works or compilations created by Harvard Alumni
Entrepreneurs, Inc. that contain the essay in whole or in part.
You agree to indemnify and hold Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, Inc. and the
Harvard Alumni Association harmless against any claims asserted by any third
parties that allege the essay violates their rights, or from any breach by you
of your promises in this agreement. You shall be responsible for any costs
incurred by Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, Inc. for defense or settlement of
third party claims, including but not limited to reasonable attorneys' fees.
You understand that submitting an essay does not guarantee that your work will
be used, displayed, or otherwise referenced or reproduced. Essays may be
archived for public use, or reproduced in audio form, published in print or
online, or in any other way. The decision of which and how essays will be used
will be at the sole discretion of Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs, Inc. If your
essay is selected for the initial printed anthology, you will be invited to a
celebration for contributors upon the publication of the work. This will be your
only compensation.
You affirm that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal right and
ability to enter into this agreement, or that you are the parent or legal
guardian of the minor who is submitting the essay.
If you have read, acknowledge and agree to be bound by each of the terms and
